Respiratory Syncytial Virus Vaccination

Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) is an infectious disease that affects breathing.

RSV is a common cause of coughs and colds. It is common in young children but is most serious for small babies and older people and can lead to hospital admission for treatment.

From September a single dose of the RSV vaccine to protect our most vulnerable and will be offered to:

🤰Pregnant women over 28 weeks

🧓adults aged 75 to 79

💉The RSV vaccine will be given separately to the flu and covid (2 weeks apart preferably)
